Expert Services

Focused expertise, when you need it.

Useful judgment, clearly delivered, without turning every question into a consulting project.

Not every problem needs a consultant, a long project or another report.

Sometimes you simply need an experienced external view, a native English speaker who can tell you whether something really works, or a critical reader who will spot the weaknesses before someone else does.

These services are short, practical and deliberately bounded. You know what you are buying and where the engagement ends. They draw on more than thirty years of experience across management, higher education, international business education and Central Asia, combined with current work on AI, organizations and the changing world of work.

EN RU

Expert Call

A focused 60-minute discussion on a problem, decision or idea.

Particularly useful for AI and organizations, higher education, business education, Kazakhstan and Central Asia, international accreditation, university strategy, management education, research and publication, and institutional development.

Best for: someone who needs experienced judgment rather than another commissioned report.
You receive: a 60-minute online consultation. No report and no unnecessary follow-up.

Native English Final Check

Before you publish it, present it or send it internationally, have an educated native English speaker read it.

This is not basic proofreading and it is not translation. The purpose is to check whether the English sounds natural, professional and credible to an international reader.

Suitable for executive communications, presentations, websites, reports, academic material, conference speeches, biographies and other important English-language material.

Standard: up to 1,500 words or approximately 12 slides.

Extended: up to 3,000 words or approximately 25 slides.

Best for: material that is substantively complete but needs a final international-quality check.
You receive: the edited document and brief comments where something requires more than a language correction.

AI English Quality Check

AI makes it easy for non-native English speakers to produce fluent-looking English. The problem is that fluent-looking English is not always good English.

AI-generated text can be grammatically correct while still sounding unnatural, repetitive, overconfident, excessively formal or obviously machine-produced.

I check whether the English sounds natural, whether AI has introduced awkward or generic phrasing, whether the intended meaning has been preserved, whether the tone is appropriate, and whether claims have become stronger or more certain than intended.

Standard: up to 1,500 words or approximately 12 slides.

Extended: up to 3,000 words or approximately 25 slides.

Best for: non-native English speakers who use AI to produce English but want a reliable human check before the result goes public.
You receive: a corrected version of the material, with short comments where AI has created a substantive rather than purely linguistic problem.

International Interview Rehearsal

A realistic 45-minute rehearsal for professionals and academics preparing for an important international conversation.

Suitable for international jobs, MBA and doctoral admissions, scholarships, board appointments, promotions, conference appearances and similar situations.

This is not an English lesson. I ask the questions an experienced international interviewer might ask and identify where the candidate is convincing, unclear, overly cautious or inadvertently sending the wrong signal.

Best for: capable people who know what they want to say but want to know how it actually lands.
You receive: approximately 30 minutes of simulated interview followed by 15 minutes of direct feedback.

Pitch Deck Surgery

A rapid external review of an English-language business, investor or institutional presentation.

The focus is not graphic design. It is whether an international audience will understand and believe the argument.

I look particularly at structure, clarity, language, unsupported claims, jargon, missing logic, confusing slides and assumptions that may make sense locally but not internationally.

Best for: founders, executives and organizations preparing an important English-language presentation.
You receive: review of up to 20 slides, annotated comments or written notes, plus a 30-minute online discussion.

External Red Team

Give me the document and ask me to find the weaknesses before somebody else does.

This is a deliberately skeptical external review of a strategy, accreditation submission, programme proposal, partnership proposal, institutional document or similar piece of work.

The purpose is not to rewrite the document. It is to identify likely reviewer questions, insufficiently supported claims, inconsistencies, gaps in logic and areas where the argument may be much less convincing to an outsider than it appears internally.

Best for: organizations that want challenge rather than reassurance.
You receive: concise written red-team comments plus a 60-minute debrief for a standard review of up to approximately 25 pages.
